For 20 hours over the term, students will volunteer with a local non-profit community organization.

The training is designed to make the work placement set the stage for a successful working relationship. The modules will help create an understanding of what autism is, how to create an idea work environment and interact with Autistic individuals in a best practices way, and how the career coach, supervisor, and mentor will assist in this process. It will also include RoboCoach software training for employers, how to define an appropriate job task and role, and what employer-partners need to do before, during and after the work experience.
