Reinforces the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice: Simulationâ„ (2025) by addressing the dual responsibilities of learner preparation and briefing. Preparation ensures learners receive adequate resources, orientation, and instructions prior to the simulation, while briefing establishes psychological safety, clarifies expectations, and aligns participants with the learning objectives. These steps help participants understand the goals of the simulation and what is expected of them. Prebriefing supports learning by making sure participants are ready with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed. The course will provide guidelines and criteria to meet outcomes.
