Supportive Caregiver Training is a 7-module, 120-hour program designed to prepare caregivers for safe, ethical, and effective practice in Canadian and Western healthcare settings. The course covers healthcare systems, communication and cultural awareness, supportive care skills, geriatrics, dementia care, professionalism and ethics, and infection prevention and control (IPC). Learners will develop nationally recognized competencies aligned with the National Occupational Standard for Personal Care Providers (2022), with flexible delivery through primarily asynchronous learning and optional synchronous enrichment.
