The TEAL Overview for University Instructors online course introduces the key principles and current practices of English language teaching through the lens of task-based pedagogy. Topics include task-based language teaching (TBLT), outcomes and assessment, reading and listening skills development, strategies for ongoing professional development, and an orientation to the NorQuest English language curriculum. Practical hands-on activities will be integrated within each of the modules comprising the course. Instructional support and feedback will be provided, including one-on-one support and written feedback on the final reflection assignment. Learning tasks and activities will not be graded, nor will a final grade be assigned for completion of the course.
