BHCA 1101 Reading and Writing in Health Care 6-7 Ongoing Master

BHCA 1101 focuses on the reading and writing skills required for success in health care workplaces and educational programs. Learners will read a selection of texts on topics that are relevant to health care. They will cultivate reading strategies and skills, improve reading comprehension, and increase reading fluency. They will also develop familiarity with the text-types encountered in health care work places. In the writing section of the course, learners will focus primarily on improving paragraphing skills, writing to report (e.g., changes in condition, incidents), and communicating successfully via email.
