In this badge, learners will study key areas of social studies including geography, history, current events, government, and economics. Through their studies, learners will build and strengthen critical thinking abilities that allow them to understand important concepts like: how government systems function and impact daily life, what rights and duties citizens have in society, how different economic systems work and affect people, how to evaluate and analyze historical and current sources of information, and how human communities are connected to and shaped by the physical environment around them.
