This course allows learners to develop skills and knowledge pertaining to addictions and substance use. This course is for interest and awareness purposes and is not an addictions counselling course. Learners will define and explore key foundational and contemporary concepts related to addictions. The course will discuss the mental, physiological, and other health effects of various types of addictions, including alcohol, opiate, and gambling addictions.
