Learners in EEP are autistic or neurodiverse transitioning to, new to, or with a goal of independent
living. They are not eligible for the Transitions to Employment (NQ) program, as they meet many of
the learning outcomes already. However, learners will benefit from a short-term, immersive program
targeting identified gaps or barriers to independent living. This four-week program will focus on:

Creating and managing your career:
In this theme, you will learn about self-awareness, setting goals, well-being, and resilience. This component helps you consider your feelings and thoughts, then teaches you to plan and achieve your goals. A selection of topics will help you focus on staying healthy and happy through good habits so that you can stay strong and positive, even when things are tough.

Exploring Employment Options:
Work can be many things. It can be done with your mind, hands, or body. Work can be art, labor, or thinking tasks. In this theme, you will experience a selection of modules about different types of work, effective communication, and time management.

Skills for Everyday Success:
In this theme, you will learn important skills to help you in daily life. You will have the opportunity to discover how to care for your living space, use public transportation, and prepare healthy meals while sticking to a budget. You will also learn how to build strong relationships with others.

Your Strengths and Interests:
In this theme, you will explore different jobs that match what you like and your abilities. You will also learn how to search for employment, write a resume, and practice interview skills. Through a selection of modules, you will discover your talents, explore exciting careers, and learn how to apply for jobs.
