This course focuses on topics relevant to professionals working with immigrants and refugees, including knowledge of immigration patterns, categories, and processes as well strategies that promote integration of newcomers into workplaces, communities, and educational contexts. The Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) will be discussed as they related to and inform EAL classroom practice.
