This course draws learning materials from an earlier course, BHCA 1101. Learners will read a selection of texts on topics that are relevant to health care. They will cultivate reading strategies and skills, improve reading comprehension, and increase reading fluency. They will also develop familiarity with the text-types encountered in health career workplaces. In the writing section of the course, learners will focus primarily on improving paragraphing skills, writing to report (e.g., changes in condition, incidents), and communicating successfully via email.
