This course focuses on building the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate and engage with community resources that support individuals facing mental health and addiction challenges. Learners will explore the structure of social service systems, including housing, employment, healthcare, justice, and peer support networks. Learners will gain an understanding of the importance of community and social engagement in mental health and addiction recovery.

This course features a Community Service-Learning (CSL) component of 35 hours of community agency volunteering as part of an assignment.
