This final field experience provides learners with opportunities to apply their learning in disability-service and community-based settings under direct supervision. Learners will collaborate with persons with disabilities and professional teams to support meaningful participation, use observe-and-document-to-understand approaches, and plan and facilitate activities relevant to individuals strengths, interests, relationships, environmental factors. Learners will engage with diverse families and communities, demonstrating relational, culturally responsive practice, advocacy and supporting self-advocacy. This is an integrated placement throughout the term.
